How to choose an air conditioner in the UAE
Size first
Capacity is the decision that matters most. In UAE conditions allow roughly 600–700 BTU/h per square metre for rooms with standard ceilings: about 1 ton up to 14 m², 1.5 ton for 14–20 m², 2 ton for 20–27 m², 2.5–3 ton above that, rounding up for west-facing rooms, top floors and kitchens. Oversized units short-cycle and leave rooms humid; undersized units never reach set-point in August. Use the AC BTU calculator and read 1.5 ton vs 2 ton.
Split or window
Split units are quieter and more efficient and suit almost every room with wall space for an indoor unit and a balcony, roof or bracket for the outdoor unit. Window units (Carrier 51KWF) suit rooms with an existing wall sleeve or where no outdoor unit location is available, such as some older Sharjah and Ajman buildings.

Delivery
AC units are delivered by dedicated run in 1–2 business days to all seven Emirates; the delivery fee is AED 110 per order containing an AC unit. Landlords and contractors buying five or more units should request a bulk quotation.
