R410A Refrigerant Gas Price in the UAE: Buying Guide
R410A is the standard refrigerant in most split air conditioners installed in the UAE over the last 15 years, so it is the gas AC service companies buy most. Prices are usually quoted per cylinder, but cylinder fill weights differ, so the fair comparison is price per kilogram. This guide lists current BOTANVÈ prices and explains what drives them.

| Product | Fill weight / spec | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Honeywell Genetron AZ-20 (R-410A) Refrigerant Gas | AED 690 | |
| Refron R-410A Refrigerant Gas | AED 580 | |
| Floron 22 (R-22) Refrigerant Gas | AED 380 | |
| Freeze R-410A Refrigerant Gas | AED 510 | |
| Floron R-410A Refrigerant Gas | AED 485 |
Charging R410A systems correctly
R410A is a near-azeotropic blend that should be charged as a liquid (cylinder inverted or using a liquid valve) to prevent fractionation. Always use an R410A-rated manifold gauge set, hoses and recovery machine — do not use R22 equipment for R410A service. Check with the subcooling calculator that your charge is correct before closing up the system.
For most residential split AC units with a TXV or EEV, the target subcooling is published in the installation manual and is typically 5–12 K at the outdoor unit service port. Fixed-orifice systems are charged to a target superheat from the manufacturer's charging chart using the superheat calculator.
Where to buy R410A in the UAE
BOTANVÈ stocks R410A from Refron, Floron, Freeze and Honeywell Genetron in 11.3 kg cylinders, with next-business-day delivery to all seven Emirates. For contract quantities — for example, 20+ cylinders for a maintenance company's monthly requirements — request a bulk quotation for volume pricing and scheduled delivery to your yard or site.
Prices are BOTANVÈ catalogue prices in AED including VAT at the time of writing (2026-08-30); they change with supplier costs and exchange rates — the product page always shows the current price.
What drives the price
- Brand and origin. Honeywell Genetron AZ-20 is a premium-priced product; Refron, Floron and Freeze are service-market brands at lower prices.
- Fill weight. Common cylinders hold 11.3 kg (25 lb); always divide the cylinder price by the fill weight to compare.
- Purity and blend accuracy. R410A is a near-azeotropic blend of R32 and R125; poorly blended or contaminated gas raises head pressure and reduces capacity — buy from established brands.
- HFC phase-down. R410A has a GWP of about 2,088, and HFCs are subject to a global phase-down under the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, which the UAE has ratified. Supply constraints can move prices year to year.
Before you buy
- Confirm the system nameplate says R410A — it cannot be mixed with R22 or R32.
- Charge by weight or by subcooling (TXV systems) / superheat (fixed orifice), never by pressure alone.
- Always charge R410A as a liquid from the cylinder (dip tube or inverted cylinder) to keep the blend ratio correct.
- Store cylinders upright, out of direct sun — a cylinder left in a van at 60 °C is a safety hazard.
Bulk pricing
Service companies buying 10+ cylinders a month should request a bulk quotation; delivery is next business day across all 7 Emirates at AED 20 flat.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an R410A cylinder cost in the UAE?
At the time of writing, BOTANVÈ lists R410A cylinders from roughly AED 485 (Floron) to AED 690 (Honeywell Genetron AZ-20) for an 11.3 kg cylinder; see the table above and product pages for current prices.
Can I use R32 instead of R410A?
No — R32 runs at different pressures and requires equipment designed for it. Use only the refrigerant on the nameplate.
Is R410A being phased out in the UAE?
HFCs including R410A are subject to a gradual global phase-down under the Kigali Amendment; R410A remains widely available for servicing existing systems.
How much R410A does a 1.5-ton split need?
Typically 1.0–1.4 kg for a standard pipe run; the exact charge is on the outdoor unit nameplate, plus an allowance per metre of pipe beyond the standard length.
